Carlijn Balanoy
As an Outreach Worker at TCM, Carlijn is focused on advocating for children, which is fuelled by her love of Jesus and resiliency. Her approach is trauma-informed, with an emphasis on developing resilience in children who have experienced adversity. Serving at TCM has unique meaning for her since it is a Christian organization where Jesus leads the ministry, allowing her to smoothly integrate faith into her job. Carlijn has developed relationships based on the Gospel through meaningful exchanges, expressing Jesus' love and providing a secure space for the children.
Carlijn’s hope is that both she and the children will grow in their understanding of Jesus and experience His unlimited love, leaving a lasting impression on their lives. She envisions these young people leaving with a greater sense of their worth and purpose, founded in their union with God, by the “end” of their TCM journey.
