Building Relationships Sharing Life

“We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.”
1 Thessalonians 1:3

I am reminded of the bread and butter of our success equating to the relationships that have been built over the years. All of which first stem from God’s desire to have a relationship with us and not by any of our own doing, but because God is love.

Our Outreach Workers are able to build relationships with children and families impacted by poverty not because they have more to give, but because both sides have opened up to each other and allowed the other to breathe into each other’s lives.

Our students are developing relationships with their volunteer tutors who choose to dedicate their evenings once a week to teach these student academics and at the same time share their lives with them. We also have relationships between people who pray for our community members. They may never meet face to face, but they pray through the stories that are shared with them and knowing that God knows their names.

Finally, we have people who recognize that the giving of material offerings can lead to more relationships being created – relationships where the gospel message can be shared. I give thanks for all of you, the body of Christ, that have come together to build up God’s Kingdom, for His glory.
