An elderly man, at a meeting held on the corner of Brock and Queen Streets, pulled the Missionary aside and drawing out his bank book said, “See, there is what God did for myself and my family through your preaching at the street corner; I used to carry the whiskey-flask, but I now have my Bible and bank-book instead.”
In the open-air meetings especially, the seed was sown, and eternity alone would reveal the fullness of blessing God has bestowed upon His Word.
