At this time of the year we usually wrap up our school-year programs to gear-up for the summer. We finish the school year with various parties for the volunteers and the families we serve, including a large community potluck.
This year we had something special to celebrate: our new EPIC at the Corner program! We had our end-of-the-year party yesterday, and a couple of the moms joined us. We ate pizza and played several minute-to-win-it games. It was a blast!
This program was a huge answer to prayer, and we praise God for providing! Over the course of this launch, we had the privilege of meeting 10 different kids and their families. We also got to meet a pretty awesome teen volunteer who has decided to stick around with us this summer.
This program would not have been possible without the support from St. James Town Community Corner, Stone Church, and many of you who prayed for us and donated resources. Thank you for investing in the lives of these kids!
I also want to thank Esther, Vanessa and Sam, our enthusiastic volunteer team who made launching this program a breeze.
