A couple years ago we started a TLC program at Willowtree where we could do training and planning with the high school kids from the community who were interested in helping out with the younger kids programs. This year from February to March our main focus each week, at the program, was on having the TLCs plan March Break camp for the kids.
Essentially the TLCs had the main role in planning each day and it was really encouraging to experience how much fun March Break camp was and to see how good of a job each of our teen leaders did in leading activities, whether it be games or Bible study.
We did not have a lot behavioural issues during the 2 days we had camp and I think that a lot of that can be attributed to the fact that the TLC's helped to create a fun environment where the kids felt very comfortable. It is amazing to witness how God is working in their lives and working through them to encourage and bring joy to people around them.
