As I am finishing up my time with TCM, I must say that one word stands out to me about my past five years of involvement in different roles and at different locations around the city: relationships.

Oreo Thanksgiving Turkeys
By Rebecca Steinecke (Jane-Finch KIC Volunteer Coordinator)
Our kids loved these Thanksgiving Turkey snacks, mostly just because they are filled with delicious treats! (They looked more like spiders than turkeys…but the kids didn’t mind!)
What you will need:
- Oreos
- Pretzels
- Cupcakes
- Round chocolates
- Icing
Instructions:
- Lay one Oreo flat, and place the other Oreo perpendicular to it
- Put three pretzels into the second perpendicular Oreo for the “turkey feathers”
- Take half a bite-sized cupcake and use the top icing to hold the two Oreos together
- Place the round chocolate as a head on the cupcake
- Use icing to draw a face on the Turkey, as well as hold all the other pieces together
